How it started
Growing up as a bilingual child in Pakistan, I was forever fascinated with expanding my linguistic capabilities. I began with French and then German but as I progressed in my career as a Product designer, my interests found a common ground and I wanted to use my skills in distance learning. And what better place to do it in than Berlin. So I joined Babbel and a Product Designer in September 2022 and the rest is history.

Babbel Design Medium
As an art director of babbel design medium, my duties are to work with the individuals and design artworks for their articles that are published on babbel design. With my strong background in digital illustrations and my love for digital artworks this is something I love to do voluntarily.

Culture Bites
Culture Bites are short texts accompanied by audio that add to learners’ intercultural competence by building their knowledge, skills, awareness and attitudes of the target culture. The theme and level of each bite relates to a unit from the progressive content.
My role on this project was to work on the insights from user research and improve the overall experience.
Grammar Guide
Easily accessible grammar explanations, combined with a user-friendly interface for organizing grammar tips and explanations with examples.
As a product designer I led the project from discovery to implementation.

Explore Tab Revamp
Worked together with designers acrross different clusters to revamp Explore tab. We worked with a lot of technical limitations and different stakeholders.
We saw positive results from the revamp from business point of view, as it managed to attract a greater number of returning users, for the diverse features offered within the Explore Tab.
Lesson Experience Revamp
In our drive to redefine the "Lesson Experience," we've distilled our approach into three key design pillars: Coach, Tailor, and Celebrate. These pillars align with our educational strategy and commitment to learner success. Collaborating with the Self-Study and Dynamic Content teams, we've structured our efforts into three streams: tangible prototypes, short learning cycles, and visionary abstractions.
Our mission stems from our dedication to guiding learners to success, a cornerstone of our 2023 strategy. The three design pillars—Coach, Tailor, Celebrate—emerge from existing strategy and insights and operate synergistically. Coach aids navigation, Tailor personalizes learning, and Celebrate adds delight.
These pillars adhere to LX Objectives for 2023 and rebranding guidelines, guiding us toward a better "Lesson Experience." Our approach involves flexible levers to drive learner success, with usability studies informing swift iterations. Our goal is to deliver an exceptional "Lesson Experience."
This project is still in progress, and at the moment, we're in the phase of testing the prototypes we made with users. The results so far have been absolutely AWESOME!
